Solus AP All-Polymer

Solus AP is the latest technological innovation in boiler scale control and internal treatment from GE Water & Process Technologies. Based on the GE-patented Boiler Terpolymer (BTP) chemistry, Solus represents the evolution of GE boiler polymer technology, providing measurable advantages in performance over existing all-polymer chemistries. Most notable examples of performance benefits include increased iron oxide scale control and iron rejection to the blowdown, improved magnesium hardness transport, and superior stress tolerance under upset conditions. Solus is appropriate for boilers operating up to 900 psig.

Steamate PAS Polyamine

Steamate PAS Polyamine

GE’s Polyamine technology is centered on a unique, volatile surface adsorption inhibitor – the Polyamine – combined with organic amines or ammonia volatile alkalizing and buffering agents. The Polyamine treatment program provides “dual protection” against dissolved oxygen pitting and corrosion, low pH (acidic) corrosion, flow-assisted corrosion, as well as corrosion that can occur during boiler layup. Unlike conventional filmers, Polyamine is significantly volatile under broad pressure range and when added to the feedwater, will readily enter steam phase and reach all points in the steam system, providing overall system protection.

Steamate LSA Amine and Polyamine for Refining

Steamate LSA Amine and Polyamine for Refining

Developed as a collaboration with our Hydrocarbon Processing Research and Engineering team, Steamate LSA is an advanced corrosion control platform specifically for refinery boiler and steam-condensate systems. Using GE’s exclusive LoSalt ionic simulator software, the proven neutralizing amines in this technology were chosen for both optimum cost-performance to treat the refinery steam system and compatibility with the crude distillation process. Specifically, the amines were selected to minimize the potential for formation of corrosive chloride salt deposits where steam is used in the crude processing. Our advanced low salt boiler amine technology is also available with the GE polyamine filming corrosion inhibitor to further minimize unwanted “tramp” amine contributions to the refining process.
