An Innovative Technology for your Revolutionary Design
GE Water & Process Technologies brings over 25 years of experience to the property development industry,
delivering simple, reliable and cost-effective on-site wastewater treatment
and water conservation solutions. With over 200 wastewater reuse installations,
GE Water & Process Technologies's green building expertise ensures the success of your project. The ZeeWeed
Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) system effectively combines proven biological treatment
and ultrafiltration (UF) membrane technology into a compact, odor-free system
that is quick to install and simple to maintain. ZeeWeed MBR produces crystal
clear effluent that meets the most stringent water-recycle standards from the
moment you start the system.
Proven Short-term ROI
Water reuse creates a closed-loop cycle within a commercial or a residential
green building, that can significantly reduce municipally-provided potable water
usage while also eliminating the wastewater contribution to the municipal sewer
system. Using recycled water reduces operating costs by replacing the use of
potable water for landscape irrigation, toilet and urinal flushing, and other
building operations. This utility, servicing, and connection fee savings, in
addition to the incentives offered by state and local agencies for LEED™
certified buildings, translate into an ROI in as little as seven years.
Earn Points toward LEED™ Certification
Green building developers are increasingly turning to GE Water & Process Technologies to treat up to
100% of their wastewater on site to near drinking water quality—making
it ideal for non-potable reuse in green building applications. Incorporating
ZeeWeed MBR in your building design earns up to six points toward Green Building
LEED™ certification. ZeeWeed MBR features state-of-the-art membrane filtration
technology that has revolutionized the wastewater treatment industry and is
the best available technology to assist you in attaining higher LEED™
certification status.

The Solaire Apartment Building at Battery Park
The 293-unit, Solaire in New York's Battery Park City is America's first
environmentally advanced residential tower and continues the city's trend
to reusable, sustainable, and efficient residential development. The on-site
ZeeWeed MBR process treats, stores and reuses the wastewater for toilet
flushing, irrigation and cooling towers. This green building approach reduces
the freshwater drawn from the city's water supply by over 75%. [Learn

Vancouver Convention Center
Vancouver is one of North America's leading meeting and convention destinations
due mostly to its direct accessibility throughout North America and its
equidistant location from Europe and Asia.
In October 2004, the VCEC began construction of a 1.1 million square
foot expansion which will triple the convention centre’s existing
capacity creating additional space for meetings and conventions. Scheduled
for completion in 2008, the expansion will meet LEED™ Gold certification,
incorporating many environmental innovations, including water conservation,
to limit the impact on the local environment. [Learn More]
