GE Introduces Dust Control and Anti-oxidant Solution for Coal Handling Operations

GE has developed a unique program of patented anti-oxidants, dust control binders and high performance foam application systems to “body feed” the anti-oxidants and binders to the Powder River Basin coals at the mine site – prior to loading into the rail cars.

Body feeding the anti-oxidant/dust binder with foam prior to loading, ensures that the all coal surfaces are completely treated with the chemicals.

The coal is made less dusty by agglomerating and binding the fine particles to larger particles.
By treating the coal surface with an anti-oxidant, the oxidation and weathering of the coal is significantly inhibited.
