Mike Hill has been named General Manager, Global Sales for Engineered Systems. Mike will be replacing Earl Jones, who has accepted a promotional opportunity at GE Healthcare. In his new role, Mike will be responsible for leading the ES Sales team and further developing commercial processes and talent across the ES portfolio.
Mike brings with him a breadth of both GE and global commercial experience that will be an asset to this role. Since joining GE in 1999, Mike held various Sales, Commercial Operations and Quality leadership roles. He joined GE as a Commercial Director, first for Latin America/Mexico, and then for the Eastern Region of the US and Canada. In 2001, he was appointed Quality Leader for Global Sales. In early 2004, Mike became the Energy Services Regional GM for the Western Region. In 2006 he relocated to Tokyo, Japan as the Power Generation Regional General Manager for the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to joining GE, Mike spent 9 years at ABB Power Generation, starting as an applications engineer and working his way up through various sales roles in the US and Sweden, before taking over as the Business Development Manager for the Eastern US.
Mike received a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego and an MBA from the University of Richmond. He is a certified Six Sigma Quality Leader.
Mike and his family will be transferring from Tokyo, Japan to Trevose, PA by year end.
