GE Infrastructure, Water & Process Technologies Customer Portal registration process allows you to register for an account in three easy steps.  Included in the process is an approval by your GE sales representative or assigned approver from your company.


STEP 1:  Access GE User Registration and accept the GE Terms & Conditions


Click on the REGISTER link available in the upper left corner of every www.gewater.com page, or click on Need an Account... from the GE Customer Portal login page.  Read through the GE Terms and Conditions, and check the acceptance box at the bottom before submitting the page.

If you have an existing GE wide customer single sign on id, you can use it and by pass step 2 below.  Simply click on the 'register your existing GE Single-Sign on account' link form the customer portal login screen.  After accepting the terms and conditions, you'll have to login with your existing GE SSO id and password and be sent to step 3.
 

STEP 2:  Fill in GE Corporate captured information (Name, Email, Userid, Password)

Enter your first and last name, email address, requested userid and password (must be 8 characters, include both numbers and letters and start/end with a letter. Also, choose a challenge question and response (to reset your password if forgotten).  This registration screen and captured information is maintained and stored at the GE Corporate level and can be used to login to other GE web sites, worldwide.

 
STEP 3:  Fill in GE specific information (User Type, Company name, Invoice Number for validation, GE sales representative, industry, roles, preferred language, job title, phone numbers, etc) The second screen captures information that GE will use to customize and deliver specific information to you based on your company name, industry, and job function.  An important first step on this page is to choose your USER TYPE.  Customer and Distributor user types are required to enter a valid GE Invoice number and click validate.  Entering an invoice number allows us to link your personal account with an account in our backend systems, and extract a list of sales representatives for that account.
 
 
Therefore, a valid GE Invoice number is required to register as a customer or distributor.  Registering as an Other/MSDS user, or prospective user does not require an invoice number, but will not provide you access to order, shipment, invoice status information.  After filling in this information submit the form.  All required fields are signified by a > sign. APPROVAL PHASE:  After filling out this information, your request for a GE customer portal account will be approved by your company's administrator or your GE sales representative After submitting this information, you will receive two emails... one confirming the creation of your GE-wide single-sign on account, and a second acknowledging your request for an account on the GE Customer Portal.  At the same time, your request is forwarded to your GE customer portal company administrator, or your GE sales representative if a company administrator does not exist for your company.  This approver should approve or deny your request within 5 business days, and at that point you will receive e-mail notification of an active GE customer portal account.  Other user types are still approved.  Prospective customers gain access immediately, but with limited functionality.
