Open Recirculation

Open Recirculation

Control corrosion and microbes

Effective treatment of your open recirculation cooling systems keeps your equipment running longer and more efficiently. GE Water & Process Technologies has the products and technologies you need to guard against corrosion and deposition for your specific situation. GE's Dianodic PLUS is the first technology to offer a superior method for protecting cooling systems against corrosion while using economical biocides to control microbiological growth.

Dianodic PLUS includes these product technologies:

Continuum™ AEC (Alkyl Epoxy Carboxylate) is the first major breakthrough in calcium carbonate deposit control in more than 25 years. Patented and exclusive to GE, it functions as a threshold inhibitor, the only non-phosphorous deposit control agent that provides scale control superior to phosphonate technology. Combined with HRA technology, it has the capability of increasing tower cycles, reducing or eliminating acid requirements, operating at higher LSI's, and operating longer between turnarounds and outages.
Dianodic III is for neutral pH waters requiring superior protection against corrosion and deposition. It is formulated to maximize mild steel and yellow metal corrosion control and prevent scale formation, even in the presence of halogen-based oxidizing biocides. Combined with HRA, it controls both mild steel corrosion and copper corrosion even under the more corrosive neutral pH conditions.
Spectrus oxidizing and non-oxidizing products provide biological control of an array of microbes (algae, fungi, bacteria, protozoa, etc.), mollusks, and other macro-fouling organisms. Effective biological control protects against microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC) and microbe growth, such as Legionellosis, that could pose a significant human health risk.
Halogen Resistant Azole (HRA) from GE inhibits corrosion from copper and copper alloy. HRA is unique because it is compatible with oxidizing biocides. This makes it a good choice for cooling systems where chlorine and/or bromine are used to control microbiological activity.
