Membrane Antiscalants

Deposit Control

Improved membrane performance through reduced scaling

The narrow feedwater channel found in your spiral wound and hollow fiber elements accentuates scaling and fouling. The Hypersperse™ pretreatment program from GE Water & Process Technologies is designed to eliminate scale and reduce fouling in membrane systems, regardless of the feedwater source.

Effectively controls scales including calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, barium sulfate, strontium sulfate, calcium fluoride, iron, colloidal material, silica and other organic contaminants.
Compatible with most leading RO membranes
Products are NSF 60™ certified

While treatment with ordinary antiscalant does provide some improvement, use of patented GE chemistry maximizes efficacy against a broad range of scale-forming substances and keeps fouling material in suspension.

Hypersperse MDC-Series offers protection against scale forming and colloidal foulants, while Hpersperse MSI series offers silica scale and adhesion protection.

Dosage selection

GE's Argo Analyzer™ scaling software package helps you:

Predict scale
Select product
Determine dosage
Maximize RO recovery
Model the impact of different recovery rates
Model the impact of acid dosing for both hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid
Determine and view graphs of solubility limits
Determine and model safety factors
Calculate Langelier Saturation Index (LSI)

Benefits To You
Personnel safety (reduced need to handle sulfuric or hydrochloric acid)
Reduced cleaning and maintenance cost
Lower operating cost
RO systems operate at higher recovery rates due to reduced scale
