Cost-effective degasification for pure-water applications
Gas transfer membrane (GTM®) contactors from GE Water & Process Technologies provide cost-effective degassing in microelectronics, pharmaceuticals, power generation and other applications worldwide. Used mainly to remove dissolved oxygen (O2) and carbon dioxide (CO2) from water, our gas transfer membranes also suit specialty applications such as removal of gasses from process fluids. For more than 10 years, GTM® contactors have been replacing alternate technologies like vacuum degasifiers, forced draft degasifiers, and oxygen scavengers. That's because they perform as well or better while:
Our industry-leading Liqui-Cel® GTM® contactors use polypropylene hollow-fiber membranes in two distinct formulations for specific purposes:
A third fiber, X-IND, is highly cost effective for carbon dioxide removal in certain power and microelectronics applications. GE engineers can help you choose the membrane and operating mode that delivers the gas removal you need at the most affordable cost. Satisfied customers using GTM® systems include ST Microelectronics in France, Singapore and Phoenix, Arizona, USA; Motorola, Inc., in China and Phoenix; Seagate Technology in Singapore; and Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. * Liqui-Cel is a registered trademark of Celgard, LLC |
