Feedstock Flexibility Solutions (Predator Process)

Feedstock Flexibility Solutions (Predator Program)

Opportunity crudes can provide large feedstock savings; however, they can come at a price. If not managed effectively, they can be detrimental to your assets, processes and products and pose a threat to safety and the environment. The Predator program, a suite of technologies from GE Water & Process Technologies, helps you mitigate the risk of processing these discount crudes. The process is being used by nearly all major oil companies, with documented savings of millions of dollars. Predator takes a three-pronged approach:

Detect problems quickly. Advanced tools like electronic resistance measurement and digital radiography provide fast, accurate data on how the discounted crude affects your systems.

Predict operating difficulties. With a comprehensive global database of refinery experiences, our field engineers compare your operation to others with similar processes, then recommend sound treatment programs. They can predict your crude slate's degree of desalting, deposition and corrosion based on the properties of the crudes and your process conditions.

Assure equipment and process protection. In areas of high-temperature corrosion, we apply third-generation chemistry proven to protect against high total acid number (TAN) for extended periods without using phosphorous. This prevents plugging, corrosion or catalyst damage. Other offerings include desalting chemistry, corrosion inhibitors and antifoulants.

We continuously invest in world-class programs and services for refinery customers. Our on-site field engineers are experts who solve problems and improve profitability.
