In March 2017, GE announced the signing of a definitive agreement to sell its Water & Process Technologies business to SUEZ, a global services and solutions company with operations primarily in water and waste management. The teams are continuing to actively work together to bring about a smooth transition, and remain on target for an expected close date in mid-2017.
“As our team has gotten to know the SUEZ organization more closely in the past several weeks, we have been growing more and more excited about the opportunity to join SUEZ,” said Heiner Markhoff, President and CEO, GE’s Water & Process Technologies. “Both companies have significant experience in the water field, and together we hope to take product innovation to the next level, combine our highly complementary strengths, better serve our customers, and grow in new and exciting ways.”
The deal remains subject to customary closing conditions such as regulatory approvals and appropriate consultation.
